How To Become A Starter In NBA 2K17

Becoming A Starter In NBA 2K17

In order to become a starter in my player in NBA 2K17 you must always maintain an A+ team rating every game. In order to maintain a team grade of an A+ you must play your role to the best of your ability. This means you must be a good teammate getting your teammates assists, set screens to give them space to shoot the basketball, get steals, offensive/defensive rebounds, and take good shots. To get assists for your teammates pass the ball to the when they’re wide open either away from the basket or close to the basket, you can also throw them an alley-oop pass when they’re the only one near the basket. In order for the pass to work they must be wide open running towards the basket. While on offense you can run plays to free up space on the court for yourself to make a shot, you can also drive to the basket for a lay-up or dunk as well as draw a foul which will send you to the foul line. Everything you do positively on offense and defense will result in your teammate grade meter to increase, once it reaches the top the letter will change until you receive an A+.

While on defense play defense extremely well by staying with your opponent, when going for a steal make sure you watch the balls movement. An easy steal is when your opponent is passing the ball, you can either jump to block the pass or just simply swat the ball away while blocking their passing lane. Another good defensive play is a block, to get a block is either when your opponent is about to shoot the ball whether it be a jump shot or layup. It has to be done at the right time though because if you attempt it at the wrong time you will foul them, the best time you do it is as soon as the ball leaves their finger tips. Another good deed on your part is rebounds which are very easy to get, it all depends on the player and how they play the game. To get an offensive rebound you must either catch your own missed shot or that of your teammates, just make your way to the basket before the defense does. This also applies to getting a defensive rebound, the only difference is that you’re on the opposite side now because if you or another teammate doesn’t catch the rebound your opponent as another chance to score.

Becoming a starter can be easy or difficult, it all depends on the person playing. It usually take anywhere from 15-20 games, rarely more due to the players performance. The more the player does well the more time he will spend on the court, once the coach realizes your hard work on and off the court he will make you a starter.
